so now that we have the perfect frosting for our cupcakes, time to add some lovely cupcake toppers! these little beauties are perfect for any party... birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers, wedding receptions, etc.
heres how...
supplies
-scrapbook paper
{scraps work great!}
-image/design from computer or stamps work great too
-hot glue gun
-glue sticks
-scallop punch
{if you don't have this you could always trace a cookie cutter or something else with a fun shape and cut it out.}
-circle punch
{same here, you can just trace something round and cut it out if you don't have a punch.}
-lollipop sticks
{check your local craft store, near the candy making supplies.}
tutorial
print out an image from the computer or stamp an image that you would like to use for your cupcake topper.
use your circle punch to cut out the image
use your scallop punch {it should be slightly larger than the punch you used for your image} to cut out the back of your cupcake topper.
now you have the two parts of the cupcake topper ready to assemble.
put a dab of hot glue in the center of your scallop punch.
quickly lay your lollipop stick in the dab of glue.
put more glue onto of the stick.
quickly put your image on top.
let the glue dry and your all done!
such a simple way to add a touch of loveliness to that next party of yours!
