painting crisp lines

ever wanted to paint stripes but decided against it because you thought it would be too difficult and your lines wouldn't be crisp?

i found an amazing tip online on how to get crisp lines, and it worked! even on my textured walls!

here's how...

supplies
2 different paint colors
paintbrush/roller
paint pan
painters tape
level
tape measure

tutorial
first, paint your entire wall with one of your two paint colors.

next, tape your stripes. i did mine 12" because i didn't want to make the space too busy. the smaller the space, the larger you will want to make your stripes. be sure to use your tape measure and level when taping!

then, use your paint brush and the same color you used to paint the wall solid, to paint along the tape where you want your stripes.

after the paint has dried, use your paintbrush, roller, and second paint color to paint your stripes.

let the paint dry completely and carefully remove the tape.

so lovely!

this would work for any kind of pattern you want to paint. stripes, chevron, etc.

happy painting :)
