Hello everyone, I'm Krystal and I blog over at Sassy Sanctuary.

I am SO excited to be here today on A Little Lovely (which we all know is a lot more the a little lovely!) I am a stay home mother of two, ages 2 and 4, so life around my parts can get kinda crazy.  I blog to keep myself sane, connect with the world outside my children, and to creatively challenge myself.  Before children I earned a bachelor's degree in Interior Design and am passionate (or obsessive, whichever term you prefer) about houses.  So most my posts and projects are home decor related although you will find a few recipes, kids crafts, and clothing ideas thrown in there.

I also love graphic design and recently started doing blog designs as a little side biz.  I view each blog as a little interior space I get to help make beautiful and find a lot of joy in working with people and helping them achieve a "blog home" they can be proud of.  If you'd like more information or would like to view some of my past work, you can visit me HERE.

Today I'm going to share with you one of my most popular posts.  My Family Rules sign and free printable.  There are all kinds of subway art prints and family rules prints out there. I think subway art is a lot of fun because you can really personalize it to fit whatever need and it's beautifully graphic. So when I downloaded a bunch of new fonts and wanted to try them out, I was inspired to make this. I just LOVE how it turned out! What a fun way to display all our family rules, now if only I could get my kids to follow them....

This is a very fun and affordable project. The print itself is a 12x12 so you can have it printed anywhere that prints scrapbook pages. I had mine printed at Scrapping Simply and it cost about $6.00, most of that shipping. If you have a local resource you could do it a lot cheaper. (I hear Costco does 12 x 12 prints, I'm just not lucky enough to live by a Costco.)

The frame was an unfinished scrapbook page frame from Micheal's and cost $7 (without any coupons, you can always print a 40% off coupon online). To finish it I painted it blue with basic craft paint, distressed it, and then put a coat of wood stain over the top. All of which I had on hand. Isn't the finish dreamy? (I have a dresser in the garage waiting for some love and I thinks its going to get this same finish.)

And then because I felt like it needed a little extra something, I added a few ribbon roses.  You can find the tutorial for those HERE.

So for under $15, I have this adorable piece of art for my home. Can't beat that! I'm not sure where its going to live yet, but I'll find somewhere perfect... and visible... we need all the reminders we can get!

So do you want one? You can either make your own family rules sign to fit your family, or you can have mine! Because I love you all so much, I made up a bunch with different background colors. The one I used is below but you can visit the original post HERE to see all the different background options.

(just click image to view it larger, save, and print.)

I hope you enjoy!  If anyone decided to use this I'd LOVE to see how they turn out so send a link my way.  Thanks so much for having me and I hope you'll stop by for a visit!
