HELP!!
ok guys, i need you're help!! i need some honest opinions!! like brutally honest. i'm not going to take anything personally, cuz i really need some honest feedback.
have you heard that somewhat simple is doing a holiday boutique this holiday season??
well she is, and im going to participate!!
i'm planning on selling holiday photo card designs that you can purchase and then have printed wherever and however you would like!!
but...i was trying to think of a few other products i could offer as well.
i was browsing etsy today, found some things i loved, and am now wondering if i should sell similar products. {is that wrong to do?!} but i would like to know what your opinion is.
obviously i would offer holiday shapes but you get the idea right?! the possibilities for these are endless. you could use them as confetti on a table, in an envelope with your holiday cards, on party invites, etc.
and then of course tags to add to gifts, neighbor goodie plates, etc.
please let me know what you think!! would you buy something like this?! or would you just make them yourself? what is a fair price? i was thinking along the lines of $2 for 5 tags?? and $2 for about 20 pieces of confetti?!
also, i'm thinking about starting a separate blog to sell these types of things instead of using etsy. what do you think? do you hesitate to buy from a blog?!
please take two seconds and tell me what you think. i will not be offended if you aren't interested or wouldn't buy something like this. i will greatly appreciate any feedback you give me!
THANK YOU!!

murder mystery halloween party invitation

anyone throwing a murder mystery halloween party?! here's the perfect invite for you!!
entryway table/shelf
i shared this project on finding fabulous the other day, but incase you missed it...here it is again!
i have been working on my foyer now for quite sometime, mostly because i was having the hardest time finding an affordable entry table that i loved. i didn't want to settle and therefore months have gone by and i am still without an entry table.
well...then i saw this project at house of smith's and i knew it was the perfect solution for me!
i have a small entry way so i needed something that wouldn't take up much space. so, i made a shelf and hung it on the wall at the same height a table would be.
here's how i did it!
i bought a piece of wood 2.5' long {& approx. 9" deep} and i piece of molding that was 5' long...
and two of these!
{i got mine at home depot but i'm sure you could find them many different places.}
i cut three appropriate sized pieces of molding with 45 degree angles and used liquid nails to attach the molding to the 2.5' long board.
{like the above picture. i used tape to hold it in place while it dried.}
then i painted my brackets white.

alfredo sauce recipe
my sister shared this recipe with me a few weeks ago and it is just too good not to pass along!! i'm a lover of italian food so i had been on the search for a yummy alfredo sauce, and this is it!! divine!!
Fettuccine Alfredo
8 ounces dried fettuccine
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
2. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan melt butter. Add cream, salt, and pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Boil gently, uncovered, for 3 to 5 minutes or until mixture begins to thicken. Remove from heat and stir in the 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Drain pasta. Add pasta to hot sauce. Toss to combine.

black crystal chandelier
ever since we moved into our new house we have wanted to replace the chandelier in our dining room.
before
as the light bulbs blew out we didn't even bother to replace them. i guess we figured when the last one went that would be a good excuse to get a new one, haha! well, we decided not too wait till we were in the dark and went ahead with this fun project...
we found this chandelier at a local consignment shop. it was quite a bit more expensive than what i was hoping to spend. but also cheaper and larger than the one i had picked out from lamps plus. so we decided to go for it.
before
we spray painted the entire thing black after covering any exposed electrical parts.
and then we explored michael's for the perfect beads and crystals. the majority of the beads came in a pack of 550 for about $4. the crystals were actually part of candle stands that we took apart. we got two of those which were about $12 each with my 40% off coupons. it was cheaper to do that than buy each individual crystal which were about $5 a piece.
after
we absolutely love our new chandelier and were so glad it turned out so well!!

homecoming dress refashion
whew! this has been a labor of love, that's for sure!! my little sister has homecoming coming up soon and she needed a few inches added to the bottom of her dress. i offered my help, little did i know i would go crazy trying to do it!! it really isn't that hard of a process, i just made a lot of silly mistakes and had to redo things a few times...
anyway, i think the end result is beautiful and i can't wait to see it on her!!

modern bedding
i NEED to start working on my master bedroom...fast! i don't know why it always seems to be the room i neglect the most. it really should be the most important but i always justify doing other rooms first because those rooms are the ones people see most.
anyway, i was browsing csn's websites because i really want some modern bedding.
check out this eye candy...

my favorite

i adore all of these, even the ones full of color! i however have to go with something more neutral because i can never stay with one color palate for too long. so...

this is in my shopping cart right now {just the coverlet} and then i will accessories with pops of color!
and if those too are out of the budget, there are always some fun throw pillows to choose from...
